Customer ratings for McGrey SL-12/3 12" 3-way passive speaker, pair

First order to Kirstein - living in RO / TM in 05/05/2020 -> arrived in 1 week, even the delivery time was originally planned to take 9-13 days, so 1 "+" for DPD in due lock-down conditions.

I ordered from Kirstein / DE due to the fact the same product was out of stock in RO with August delivery date... and the price was +~ the same, including transportation.

One of the packages was received damaged - photo available on demand - with the front grill dented - speaker not damaged behind it -> this is 1 "-" for DPD and for packaging process - @Kirstein: need to add extra protection inside the package to prevent this kind of unfortunate events.
Anyhow I got them for acoustic purposes not for "beauty show".

Connected them to a Phonic Powerpod 750rw mono Monitor&Main outputs - the sound quality depends on the input and the power amplifier - the lows are a little bit limited - need to work further on equalizer settings. Electronic drums work acceptable on them.

So far a good present for me :-)

The speakers fulfill their purpose, have decent bass and are absolutely satisfactory for the price. Of course, you can get a lot more out of them with an EQ if you need to.
The delivery was also very fast and neatly packaged. Thank you very much.

Quite good sound! Must only be operated with the right (powerful) amping. Small tone control is an advantage. Then they sound quite good and also have enough pressure. As an amp I use a peavy cs800. Always consider the price!

Nice sounding speakers for my 2 x 250W Peavey XR684
After I tested it, I took of one of the handles and fitted some Loudspeaker damping material inside the cabinet.
That helped quite a bit on the boxy resonating sound coming from the cabinet.

All in all I'm very pleased with the speakers

Received in a few days, I bought them to replace some quality hi-fi speakers, the comparison can not be made but they defend themselves well, they have less quality but more quantity. They are suitable, as described, for parties of 200-300 people.

Very good value for money cases above expectations

This is a first order for me at Kirstein, I live in France, which decided the price and the comments of the buyers.
Good quality products, well packed, fast.
After some tests a good sound, with an old amp.
Good shop.

The delivery / packaging of the two boxes was perfect.
They are exactly as described very robust and still good to handle (thanks to the side handles).
Despite the low price, there is nothing to complain about the workmanship in my opinion.
To date, I could unfortunately only briefly test them.
I have connected a MALONE DX 3000 amplifier to the speakers and control this in turn via Resident DJ 25 mixer. With the 8 Ohm boxes the amplifier should spit out in the peak still up to 2 x 900W.
For the price I am quite satisfied. I would personally like to have a little more bass.
However, this feeling could still settle when I test / adjust the boxes or the system further in the next few days. Maybe I still need a separate equalizer for the fine tuning?
For private use I think the speakers are quite good. And when you consider the price ... Would I order them again? Yes, I think so... Or in my personal case I would order speakers with for example 750 or 900W. If you don't have a monster amp attached, I don't think you'll be disappointed with the speakers...

The boxes have a very good price / performance ratio, are well made and offer various connections. The sound is through the three-way speakers from a certain volume good (at the price not high-end), only in the bass you still have to control something about the amplifier and then comes the power: there has the sheep no more looseness!
Absolutely recommendable are the SPS-1 stands, which are easy to use and bring the speakers to the right height for the mids and trebles.
All together unbeatable for the price!

Moin, I have tested the boxes together with a Pronomic SLA-560 power amplifier Smart Line on a Behringer Xenyx X1622 mixer. The delivery was as always fast and uncomplicated. Packed everything was very good. Unpacked, connected and .... not at all satisfied. I tested the system in a party cellar (for max. 20 people), there 2 X 600 W should be more than sufficient. But even at half power, the sound was only moderate, no pressure, very centered and undifferentiated. Therefore, unfortunately, back.

I ordered the speakers on Wednesday afternoon via express shipping and they arrived Thursday noon.
At the beginning they smelled a bit like chemistry, but that has settled quickly.
They look good and also make good sound (no HIFI quality).
For the price they are in any case really TOP!

Hm what can I say about it. Visually they make in any case what her. Technically I do not have the knowledge to evaluate them in detail (am not a sound technician) very bad I find that no manual is included, so you know if you are not professional not where the one and where the output is. This can lead to misunderstandings. Soundtechnisch I find them in combination with an equalizer and mixer fully ok, I must say that I have not yet fully utilized. For the money they are otherwise really top.

Have been advised about the customer service, and I would be recommended.
Am very satisfied, and was surprised what the for a hammer sound have.

I can not say much about this product, except that they look good and have only tried at home with low volume.but soon, I have the first major gig, then I can say more about the performance and sound ;-) l.g. Christian
