After guitar and amplifier were delivered separately, the beautiful shape and the perfectly processed wood of the guitar convinced first. Not quite convincing elements, such as the material of the volume control, one accepts without criticism. Also the sound of the instrument without amplifier connection is convincing and already invites to play.
All the bigger the disappointment after the first charging of the battery (the necessity and description for charging a battery is not to be found on the home page and can only be found on the last page of the Quick Start Guide) and playing the guitar via amplifier. After the first two full charges, the battery managed 30 to 45 minutes to give w.o. under red flashing. The 3rd full charge could still be used for 2.5 hours, of the promised 20 hours can probably only dream. In addition, the LED indicator shows full charge (green) and charging activity (red), whether the battery under red flashing in the last few minutes has said goodbye or is in normal operation shows no light. How long you can play now - no idea. For a professional musician on stage a NO GO.

I had this guitar already often on the social network warmly recommended.
And could now finally strike. Delivery from KIRSTEIN/DPD problem-free, fast and without much waiting.
The guitar: could very quickly become a favorite guitar of mine. The concept works for me (ok, not played a concert yet, but tested extensively in the studio in my setup with board and amps) completely. I come from a strong strummed acoustic or electric rhythm guitar background. So like it when chords sound wide and riffs sound fat.
And they certainly do with the Acoustasonic. It's difficult to solo when you like to fret - the G-string is wrapped and thick. It doesn't pull so easily (at most a semitone). But that's not my thing either.
In my cover band we play songs by Jack Johnson, Sheryl Crow, George Ezra, REM - but also Stones/Monkees/Specials... all in all everything that can be played with an acoustic guitar as well as with an electric guitar (so far always Tele).
And you can do that with the Acoustasonic without having to change guitars all the time.
So far I haven't had to plug in the USB cable to recharge the electronics. We'll see when that comes due.
The rest is great. Sounds great, feels very classy (all matte finish) and looks great.

For me as a hobby musician, the Fender Acoustasonic is a perfect hybrid solution! It has also unpluggde an interesting tone, slightly bluesy. It feels good in the hand and is easy to play. It has a beautiful shape and is perfectly finished. For me a gem with many features. To my knowledge, there are not many alternatives.

Unfortunately, the guitar is partly noisy / buzzing. Typical sources of error worked through without success. Already phoned with colleagues from Kirstein.
Problem not yet solved. Return or on-site appointment follows.

So is it an electric guitar that can sound like an acoustic, or an acoustic guitar that plays like an electric? Actually, it doesn't matter, because the Acoustasonic can do both. What I would still like to see is a little more influence on the modeling software (for example, they could donate an app that allows you to make more adjustments). But for the first throw, exactly the right things were emphasized: Ergonomics and sound of a few simple settings. I would buy it again at any time.
