Very nice, well made guitar, great sound, which is not self-evident in this price segment.

After 30 years I wanted to buy a new guitar and started looking for one.
I quickly realized that guitars that I like and have the G in the logo are just too expensive.
Well then, I thought to myself and looked around at Epiphone ... with success :)
The Les Paul Custom Pro Koa has me somehow under its spell, until I then ordered at some point and ...
Here's my conclusion:
It arrived very well packaged, that's where my concerns were pulverized.
It looks even nicer when you hold it in your hands than in the pictures.
The workmanship is very very good for me (if you want to find something, you can always do that).
The varnish shines and reflects, I didn't know that from my slightly older guitars 'so'.
The playability "out of the box" is already very good, neck straight and the string action ok.
The subtleties should then be tuned to yourself.
From the sound I must say, it sounds dry (without amplifier) already very good and lets guess what goes on an amp.
Connected it sounds very powerful, with a lot of sustain and has convinced me both clean, as well as in overdrive.
I can warmly recommend the guitar, even if some say it is heavy.
What are already (weighed) 4 kg, there are my "older" Les Paul heavier :)

Two small things I noticed that could have been better.
The strings are ok for the first test, but should be changed after a short time, because the coated strings scratch too much on the frets in my opinion and you have black fingers after a short time.
I replaced mine with a set of gold ones, fits very well with the overall look of the guitar.
And secondly ... I had a knob in my hand while testing and trying out the guitar.
But both were quickly fixed and I just wanted to mention it in passing.

All in all, a very nice and on top of that very good sounding Les Paul, with which you can not go wrong by the various settings of the push / pull pots and the I think good price.

The goods are perfectly ok, packaging very thorough. When delivery took a little longer, understandably around Christmas time, I would be informed by phone. Excellent customer service which is hard to find in this day and age. Am an older vintage and really appreciate it for that reason alone. Am thus very satisfied, so I remain a loyal customer!
