Corresponds exactly to what I expected. Accurate notes, warm tone. Yapuka work. The only drawback: the instructions lack the explanation with scheme how to use the sealing grease.

as a clarinet player, the small pocket saxophone takes some getting used to at first, but after some practice you can coax some nice little melodies out of it. As I said, it's not an instrument for a wide range of melodies, but it's very nice as a change.

Very compact and well playable, it actually sounds like a saxophone. Unfortunately, the range is very limited.

I can't get it to play, the instructions are in German and I had to look at them several times to figure out how to insert the reed, then I don't know if it's my problem but the sound doesn't come out, I hope I don't pass out ????.

What a beautiful, beautiful and very affordable instrument! I am impressed with the sound.
I can't play the saxophone due to neck problems. I used to learn to play the recorder. This is a mixture of both instruments. I am a beginner and unfortunately can't find much information on Google on how to learn to play. That is the only drawback.

Very pleasant I find the different options to pay. I like the pear wood part, but the mouthpiece is made of plastic not apparent in the description.
Since I bought the instrument as a gift, I can not make any statement about playing.

Since I learned to play the recorder as a child at a music school up to advanced level and later learned to play the trumpet in adulthood, I was looking for an alternative musically.

The sound of the pocket saxophone is very good. But as a "beginner" you have to practice a bit before you get the right embouchure and the right notes come out. Because the pocket saxophone does not respond immediately from the sound (like a recorder). So you have to practice the embouchure.

Otherwise, the instrument has met my expectations and I am very satisfied.

The product is compliant, with pouch and accessories.
It sounds good. We'll probably have to find better hips. I don't know if we can change the mouthpiece to improve our sound.
In any case, it's very pleasant for such a small instrument!

Very suitable for beginners for embouchure practice, otherwise fun for the advanced player. With non-musicians, there is already one or the other astonishment when they see and hear this sax.

The pocket saxophone is not much bigger than a soprano recorder. I use it to test whether the presentee can cope with the "embouchure" - to buy her a "real" saxophone if necessary.
For this purpose it is OK and really worth the money.

From the appearance of the pocket saxophone is a beautiful well-made instrument which can easily be taken on trips, etc..
In the hands it feels pleasant and "homey", and is well suited for small and children's hands by the short length.
Through recorder and clarinet experience it was easy for me to find the embouchure after a warm-up phase.
On some notes, the sound is not very pure at first, but that will certainly change with playing experience.
As previous reviewers have already written, this nice instrument is good for practicing the embouchure or to switch from recorder to clarinet and first feel whether you might like it.
I have not regretted the purchase and also the delivery went in no time, the instrument was well packed and arrived with 3 reeds!

Everyone has his very special ideas when buying an instrument, which I also have. After reading some reviews, well, I am already of the opinion to have acquired an instrument, which is very good to the one in the price segment and in the quality impresses.
Who is a saxophonist, knows the difference to brass and pure wood instruments and so should also adapt the preparation for playing this accordingly ( temperature ), which is an essential factor.
This instrument can of course be played differently than a recorder or even a transverse flute, but a professional is well aware of this.
It produces a clear bright tone as well as a rich low tone, depending on the response, which is also a matter of practice.
For me it was important to have a handy instrument where I can expand my important breathing exercises and this, so after a few days I can assess this, also meets my expectations.
It represents for me to the SAX a clear enrichment to the personal play development.
From my subjective point of view, a clear buy recommendation.

I would describe the instrument more as a flute because the tone does not think of a saxophone. nevertheless, an interested layman should use this instrument, because he can improve or try out playing clarinet or saxophone in a new key. of the three included reeds, only one spoke at first. - possibly a matter of practice. the price is surprisingly low with regard to the first impressions.

Getting used to is the mouthpiece, if you only played flute so far, but the sound is great, I still have to practice mighty, basically I find the instrument super and the price ok.

After I have aired the flute only once extensively, smelled really rough, I could already elicit quite beautiful tones. The processing is also very good, although I'm thinking about it sometime with a better mouthpiece and nem higher quality leaf to provide.

The pocket saxophone arrived - contrary to the product description - with (clarinet) reed. Also a protective cap (capsule) for the mouthpiece is included, in addition to the practical bag. In addition, cleaning rod and cork grease, so a complete accessory package.
The response is excellent, the sound is somewhere between sax, clarinet and flute, tuning/intonation (C) is perfect, I checked it with the tuner.
This instrument is ideal for woodwind players who don't have the time or space to assemble a complete sax or clarinet on the road. You can play a song for a few minutes, put the cap back on, and the embouchure is preserved.
About the price: Other suppliers take for the same instrument more than three times, I've never seen it cheaper anywhere.

Simple, easy to play instrument, even to switch from a recorder to another big family of wind instruments.

I ordered the second instrument for my son. Both instruments were tuned a little too low. Also the top hole on the front had to be widened from 5.5mm to 6mm and fine tuned with the hand countersink to get the instruments in tune.
No. 2 was fresh from the lathe and had not yet been polished or set in.
Overblowing doesn't work like it does on a flute. You can sort of overblow into the octave, but can't pick any notes there until the duodecimal.
Despite the limited range, they are very beautiful instruments.

A well made instrument with a barrel that is surprisingly (almost amazingly) thick. The mouthpiece is comfortable and if you're used to playing a reed instrument, it is easy to start making music. If you are new to the world of reed instruments, it is pretty easy to make notes and then notes, but I HIGHLY recommend you use Youtube to find uploaded tutorials on how to start playing a clarinet, as this is most consistent with the mouthpiece of this instrument ...., even though it is called a 'pocket saxophone'. In reality, the X-20 is very similar to a chalumeaux of sorts.

The X-20 comes with a simple instruction manual (which can also be found as a bilingual pdf on the internet). This also includes a fingering chart. The instructions are rather superficial - hence my suggestion to use Youtube demonstrations. At the time of writing this review there are no current instructional uploads for the X-20, but there is a very useful bilingual German/English demonstration and description of the instrument.

Having had time to compare the sound and playability of the X-20 with several other available 'mini sax' instruments - (and this is purely a personal subjective reaction) - the X-20 was the easiest to learn. Its sound is a reasonable replica of a saxophone sound, possibly a soprano sax with hints of an alto sax mixed with distinct overtones of a clarinet. But in terms of playability, I found it to be both comfortable and responsive. It's a good buy.

A sheet is included, this should be corrected in the product description. However, it is not a higher quality sheet, for easier playability a change would certainly be recommended. Otherwise, after a short practice time already with a certain sound impression and for someone who can handle the recorder, certainly a stimulant and a good way to play into another sound world.

Superb instrument with a very nice sound, even if we have never tried if we want we can do it, there are great videos on Youtube to learn ! :)

Am new to online buying. At no time did I have a bad feeling that it was not real.

I had bought a pocket sax and still need to practice getting a tone out of it. But I am confident and will not give up.

The mouthpiece and reed, arrived broken and I have not been able to use it for the first time and I would like them to replace it, otherwise good value for money and interesting instrument.

unfortunately, there is too little information about this instrument, called X-20 ,. the insert is from a recorder!!!
and how to clean it;
and no description of the blowing technique or the instrument in detail.

The instrument is very well made and has a beautiful sound.
Perhaps one could point out that it sounds very high.
I had expected a deeper, warm sound.
Also a playing instruction with fingering chart would be helpful for beginners.
It was good that it came ready assembled.
I can recommend the instrument to others; possibly experienced players will have
an easier start and even more fun with it.
