Preiswert!

The cello has a nice sound, but I have a lot of trouble tuning it. The big black tuning pegs keep coming loose. It's very frustrating. This week I'm going to a luthier to see if anything can be done about it. Otherwise, despite its sound, this cello is worthless.

For a beginner, it's good. It's a pity that his bag is so light. If you want to carry, you should buy a stronger bag. It is up to you to tune it or have it tuned by a professional. I think if your kid makes an instrument and is interested in it, it's better to buy it instead of renting it.... Here it is.

The cello was delivered later because it was no longer available. The packaging was extremely safe, nevertheless there is a small optical damage, which hopefully can be repaired by me.

Hi I found the very fast delivery service fantastic and how well specified the tracking was.
Apparently the instrument is fine, we still have to take it to tune and mount the bridge and cello strings, but I have not yet given it to my daughter ... we wait for her birthday ... otherwise so far everything is perfect if I have to buy anything I will certainly do it through KIRSTEIN.
THANK YOU.

MARISA.

It arrived within the deadline they had given and in perfect condition. Totally recommended the order.
It is my first cello .... so technically I can not give a very valid opinion but for my expectations it more than meets them.

Arrived in the Netherlands 4 days after it was send. I never played a cello before, so I can't say anything about the quality of this instrument. But for me as a beginner it seems like a very nice instrument. It is producing sound that seems relatively in tune. I only have a little trouble with the lowest string. And the sound is not as warm and beautiful as an expensive cello, but I am pleasantly surprises about this cello. Very cheap, but still playable for me as a beginner. Don't forget to order some kolofon/harz with it. It is not included and you really need it for your bow to produce any sound.
Very very good value for money !

Having been playing the piano for a long time (and a beginner on the violin), I wanted to start playing the cello as well. Seeing this offer, I jumped at it with some apprehension and doubt...
After 3 weeks of use, the report is without appeal. For less than 200 euros, this cello keeps all its promises.
Quality of workmanship and aesthetics: very good (in this price range impossible to do better).the fingerboard is straight, well placed, the instrument very clean, varnish very nice.
Sound quality: after having changed the original strings (too metallic and unbalanced timbres according to the strings and the D string and is difficult to play), but usable at the beginning anyway) and the bridge: the sound holds the road, a lack of depth and power is still felt, due to the spruce top which is not massive. but in the end the rendering is sufficient for the beginner that I am.
the fingerboard is not made of ebony (normal considering the price of the instrument), but holds for the moment, the pegs have to be changed for ebony models (but they remain correct and the tuning holds perfectly with the delivered ones).
I ordered a carbon bow (not yet received) but I'm sure I'll win, the one delivered is usable, but I had to take it apart to give it back the curve that was not present enough.
also think about buying "real" rosin, not delivered (for me the 6V hidersine is top)
conclusion: at 170 euros (I took a B stock which was like new) the quality/price ratio is exceptional!!
Note that the easel delivered with, is prepared, but much too high, it must be readjusted several millimeters (be equipped for), or change it as I did.

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen
The cello arrived well with us, but unfortunately not playable until now, because the tuning always slips again very much, I almost despair....
Unfortunately the bigen doesn't work at all, I have to use my violin bow. Rosin does not help either.

What can be done?

Delivery etc but was top!

Best regards, Beatrice Rütsche

Very well suited as a practice and beginner instrument. The shipping was super fast. With a little skill, the sides could be properly tensioned, adjusted and tuned. It would have been nice to find a description with sketch.

Fast enough shipping. Content corresponding to the description.
Packaging not intact, missing a containment strap, due to which the package was delivered upside down, resting on the volute. Seems without apparent damage.

I am thrilled. You can't go wrong with buying a cello like this. The price-performance ratio is incredibly good.

The Quality/Price ratio is absolutely positive! I recommend, however, to show the instrument to a competent person to 'set' the strings properly. I bought the instrument to mount smooth strings for electric bass tuning E-A-d-g (100/080/060/040). The experiment is particularly satisfying especially for double bass players who see volume, weight and transport reduced by 3 times. The low E is obviously a bit 'combed', but with a good Piezo pad I dare you to notice the difference with the double bass. Fabio Cambellotti
Excellent!

Very well made violoncello that surely is worth the price. Beautiful and with very good sound, I recommend it to everyone, students or even early/starting professionals.
Beautiful cello with great sound

Very nice cello! Price-performance ratio is really good here.
We had to attach the bridge ourselves, which took some getting used to. But we did it and were then rewarded with a beautiful sound after tuning.
The strings (c, g, d, a) are still relatively much out of tune! The bow is now qualitatively not the best but for the beginning it is enough.
We are really very happy with this cello
Looks nice, but is not without complications...

The delivery was quick and without any problems. I couldn't find any damage, but the cello was also really well packed. I went straight to setting it up. This was not too difficult until it came to adjusting the pegs and tuning the strings. Initially, the pegs only tighten with an enormous amount of force. You almost have to "beat them in" to get them to hold. But eventually I succeeded. Unfortunately, the strings are not the best and you really have to tune with care. By the third tuning, the C string was already flying around my ears 😅 I then replaced it with a higher quality one. As the sound of the new string is much better, I now have to replace all the other strings as well. What is an absolute disaster is the bow. My daughter's cello cost €100 more than this one and she got a really great and reliable bow. The bow that comes with it is just totally bad. It constantly loses hair, doesn't match the cello visually and can't really be tightened like my daughter's bow, for example. Fortunately, I got a new and good bow for Christmas, but you would expect that for the price, even if it is in the lower price segment, you would still get something that works. I wouldn't buy this cello again. I would spend a bit more money and make sure that I buy a slightly better cello. It is intended for my beginnings and I think it should be relatively maintenance-free, especially for beginners who might make the mistake of buying this cheap cello. I already knew how to change the strings etc. because I also do repairs on my daughter's cello, but for someone who doesn't know much about the construction etc., it will be a shock with the cello.
I was extremely satisfied with the purchase through Kirstein itself, but not with the product I bought.
