The price is unbeatable and the horn is really cute, BUT: The mouthpiece is a French horn mouthpiece. This means that it cannot produce the typical hunting horn sound. A Fürst-Pless-Horn mouthpiece does not fit the diameter of the horn.

The sound is therefore horrible and has nothing to do with a hunting horn. For comparison, we have another pocket hunting horn with a trumpet or pless mouthpiece and you can produce perfectly acceptable sounds with it.

This makes it suitable for solo playing in the forest. The workmanship is in line with the price. A thin artificial leather band wraps the horn and from experience with another cheap horn, the winding does not last long. However, you can't expect anything here at this price.

This pocket hunting horn has immediately pleased the son and he practices on this also outside the house. Through the great bag that comes with it is super practical

Have the Tascehnjagdhorn given to a hunter friend so he always has one with him when he goes hunting. It is a small hunting horn which you can take anywhere. Good sound!

The hunting horn was a great Christmas gift for a 5 year old, the whole family had fun with it and was excited about the good quality, in addition, the accessories such as bag and and cleaning cloth was important. The little one could of all (hunter family) best blow on it and all have recognized, this is not a toy but a full-fledged instrument.

had previously borrowed a horn, which was certainly more expensive. This one was also a little easier to play and I had to adjust. Possibly because of the material thickness and different shaft. The mouthpiece supplied is not my cup of tea - I ordered a JK (watch out for the French horn version) - it fits much better now. Certainly sufficient for individual players. If you want to play in groups, you should also consider better models --> topic intonation from another report here. Price / performance certainly fits here. The bag is also very good and certainly rounds off the offer. I therefore give it 5 stars.

I bought the instrument for a trip, as even a trumpet case would have been very bulky in my luggage.
Despite its very compact shape, the horn has a good response and a broad sound spectrum. The machine runs great, but it should be noted that the "pressure depth" of the valve levers is quite large, which I noticed during fast passages.
The arrangement of the valves is a little unusual, as you have to reach past the funnel, but this works well in practice despite rather large hands.
Visually, it's definitely a highlight in my collection!

I have been playing French horn for about 20 years and have now bought the par force horn to support the par force horn parts in a hunting horn group.
Due to the choice of material and very thin walls, a good response is difficult and it takes a lot of practice and concentration to get a reasonably harmonious intonation.

The Fürst Pleßhorn has a slightly tinny sound. The tuning in higher registers is too high or when tuning the lower notes too low. For blowing alone ok.
Ideal for learning before you buy a more expensive horn.

The horn is slightly smaller than other Fürst Pless horns. My fellow horn players marvel at the cute little horn, which is visually something and can be played wonderfully. The case is also great, even the notes fit in.

positive: ...can be played relatively well and looks visually valuable. Together with the bag not a bad price. negative: cheap leatherette strap comes off at the adhesive end ---> some all-purpose glue solves the problem. Conclusion: ...for small money for the occasional signal blowing well usable, for concert music I would then recommend a higher quality horn in the longer term ...
