We are very excited here. My neighbour recommended the active speaker to me. He is a real professional and builds tube amplifiers and boxes himself. Now there are 5 of them in his and our houses.

Admittedly, I was a little skeptical at first, whether the box can keep at the price, what it promises - it can! The bass is super rich and crisp and the neighbors would also come at full volume in the pleasure. Just had the luck that my WG mate was out...Sony PCM M10 on 27 (out of 30), Bennett & Ross on volume 9 (out of 10), treble on 4.5 and bass on 6.5. It's only when you go beyond 9/10 that the box gets too much, but until then:

Yo, this is a HEAVY joy!
Very rocking VOLUME, rich BASS, great MIDDLE, but no annoying highs at all like many other BT-Speakers at higher volume.
The RESOLUTION is perhaps not quite as high/impressive (e.g. with DOUBLEBASS attacks at high volume) as with incomparably more expensive speakers (MARSHALL?), but in my opinion the BLACKMORE more than makes up for this with high PLAYFULNESS, DYNAMICS and clean SOUND at not quite so extreme volumes!
And with NON-HEAVY the BLACKMORE only reaches its limits surprisingly late.
With the quiet stuff the enjoyment factor is very high; the MIDDLE are a bit more reserved than I'm used to as a musician, but they are still present enough.
S-LAUTES are reproduced without hiss or sharpness. TRANSPARENCY and also ROUGHNESS is high; and the speaker doesn't sound bumpy either !
The TONE CONTROL is great, with the TREBLE control the PRESENCE range is controlled very well, without it becoming dull or sharp too quickly- exemplary!!!
The BASS control gives a good boost without the speaker quickly running out of breath or the bass starting to stumble. Real deep bass is possible here-impressive!

CONCLUSION: If you don't want to or can't spend 150-250 ÖRE for a MARSHALL speaker and you're looking for a great sounding speaker (also for party volume), this is the speaker for you. The workmanship is also very good, the leatherette is super glued (interface invisible on the bottom).
The Bennett & Ross sign hangs slightly crooked, but if it's nothing else...

We are just setting up a dental practice and were looking for a way to sound the premises.
We researched for a long time to find a device whose automatic power saving is not too restrictive. Here we finally found what we were looking for: The USB charging port stays on even when the hardware switch is set to off. This is of course top class if you want to connect a Chromcast Audio to it.

Soundwise it is really unbelievably good - not only measured by the price! We have the actual design original also in practice and although this costs only a third, he can keep up super sonically.

I have to say, I'm quite an audiophile, so I have tube amps and 3 horn speakers in man size at home. I have certain demands. For me, I have the following quality standards of a good Bluetooth box:
Buzzing or buzzing during Bluetooth transmission = negative here.
Linear sound = can be adjusted here via really valuable pots!
NO power saving mode which does not let the device wake up = available here, even via a real hardware switch on the back of the device!!! Someone has thought about this!
Room filling sound even at low volume = absolutely, nice rather warm sound, similar to old tube radio
Continuous power USB = as described above, even with switch "off" either mobile phone is charged or Chromecast supplied with power - perfect!

For so little money I have found my dream box! Thank you Kirstein!

The two times 30 watts are easily enough to produce a healthy sound with my saxophone along with the streamed play-alongs from the speaker.

I like the speaker very much, sonically, also because you can adjust bass and treble. Likewise, playback is possible with a stick that has a memory property.

Rather well built speaker, nice appearance, pleasant and powerful sound. I encountered a problem with the ON/OFF switch. It didn't work, the speaker stayed on regardless of its position. Rather average for a new device with the mention quality control OK. So I wonder what this famous control consists in since the first button that you have to press to use the product is not functional...

It is a Bluetooth speaker, it is then fed with digital sound source, Spotify has a good equalizer that is always on for me (even in the car). He must be able to pump up non-linear sounds....

Anyway: Basses no longer need to be turned up much under these conditions on the Blackmore, but treble fully pure - and it sounds really good at any available volume.

Reference when first trying it out: Joni Mitchell, Don Juan's Reckless Daughter (available on Spotify). Not a great stereo, but really lets you listen to music already! Clear buy recommendation!

P.S.: After a few days: Enthusiasm lasts; it is indeed - as others have already noticed - a very warm, somehow tube-like sound that always touches pleasantly.

Two speakers ordered for both returns for faulty ON/OFF switch after one or two manipulations of the switch plus means to stop the speakers! Really damage very nice finish and very correct sounds. Really a shame but after two attempts to order I think the quality is not up to standard.

Finally the look is really nice for this price, it doesn't make it "fake" at all, on the contrary, the design is elegant and fits in all types (or almost) of decoration.
Even if the chosen materials are economical, they are well chosen.
On the sound side: largely acceptable for the price. Bass and treble settings are sufficient for normal use. Due to its design, the loudspeaker is quite versatile even for someone with rather eclectic musical tastes.

Well, the opening tone is not so great but then the pairing is also only acknowledged with a short sound.

Compared to our Marshall unit, the Blackmore has the worse sound.
After 8 months, the power supply broke (which was fairly replaced by the distributor) and after a year he no longer made a fart. Then I threw it in the trash can and hopefully never buy such a China crap again.

Nostalgia pure I say only. The large roaring cube makes a decent impression and sounds first cream. Aux In Blutooth or Usb port are available for selection. Loading speed is very fast. Bass and treble can be adjusted separately in 10 steps each. A large powerful 15 Vol Netzeil is also included. You need that too. The device is quite large and you do not dare to turn the device on full steam. It is very loud. It is enough to fully sound a 50 square meter room. Great device overall. I compared it to Marshall Stanemore. It competes with it at medium volume, it distorts more at full volume. They both fill the room with a nice sound. So surprisingly good. The music I listened to when I compared it was Nuvelle vague: Just can’t get enough. :-)

This device is acoustically and sonically a really strong Bluetooth speaker. The very good and balanced sound alone already completely justifies the low purchase price of around 70 euros. I am completely satisfied with this device.

I like this box extremely much. For me, it sounds really balanced and is well made. It can not without power, there is the smaller sister 820RD superior. The sound of the 860 is even better than the already quite good 820. As a musician of many years, there is not a single qualitative reason to spend more money on a Bluetooth speaker. Who wants to have a great brand name on his boxes or otherwise visually prefer other things, which can buy something more expensive....

Everything went according to plan and the item is great. I use it indoors and it is more than adequate.
I have not tried it outdoors as I am not interested in it.

Very aesthetic in vintage style. Easy to use. Good sound. I sound 30m2 with it without problems.

The sound is consistent in both low and high frequencies, and the performance is perfect for a large room.


Be careful with Bluetooth, it can be a bit temperamental at times:

- When you change transmitters (smartphone, tablet, PC, ...), do not forget to disconnect the Bluetooth connection of the previous device to pair and connect a new one.

- the receiver of the speaker is not very sensitive. If your smartphone is too far away from the Bennett & Ross, you may experience crackling noises.
The strength of your RSSI signal should be -67 dBm, at -93 dBm crackling often occurs.
In summary, a distance of 10m is very optimistic.
Check your signal strength with the free app in the Play Store: "Bluetooth Signal Strength Meter" by Edgar Garcia Meyva.
Without this app, I began to despair and planned to send the speaker back to Kirstein.

One final comment:
With the AUX input, you have to turn up the volume compared to the Bluetooth connection.

I received the speaker very quickly. The aesthetics are really good. The sound is good. However, the on/off switch seems to be sensitive, which time will tell.
I am very happy with my purchase at the moment.

After a long search I found the beautiful box have ordered and and visually and from the sound it has convinced for the price first. At some point, the box went no longer on or times not off. At some point went nothing more. As it turned out, the problem seems to occur more often. Until today...

I bought this Bluetooth speaker based on the good reviews I read about it, and I have to admit that the device works very well and has enough power. For the performance it offers and for what it costs, I can absolutely recommend it. I also own the Marshall Stannmore II model, which is modeled after this Bennet & Ross in size and design. I must say that they are not comparable, as the Marshall has much more bass and sounds a bit sharper, apart from a slightly better finish, especially on the front. But it costs 3 times more, a price I think is excessive, as I do not see much difference between the two models.

The photos do not gloss over anything, the speaker looks really great, good workmanship. The sound is good, depending on the input source it can vary. I have e.g. test the speaker via the headphone output connected to my hifi receiver, then the sound is really fat. Volume for an ordinary kitchen already at half turn more than sufficient. Jack, Bluetooth and USB stick work flawlessly. I bought the speaker for my caravan, also as a support for a TV, perfect! Clear recommendation, especially for the price!
