Powerful Active Speaker System

The DXR MkIII speakers use newly developed Class-D high-power amplifiers delivering up to 2,000 watts. The amps provide consistent output, large dynamic headroom and stable performance even during long, demanding sessions. Thanks to efficient amplifier technology, optimized cooling and robust loudspeaker components, the series is equally suited to mobile use and permanent installations.

Yamaha also uses custom-developed LF and HF drivers specifically tuned for the DXR MkIII requirements. Users benefit from improved quality control, long-term reliability and a consistently uniform sound performance across the entire series.

DSP Technology for Maximum Precision

A key feature of the DXR MkIII series is the powerful digital signal processing with a 96 kHz DSP engine. FIR-X tuning uses linear FIR filters and precise EQ corrections to significantly reduce phase shifts between the speaker paths. The result is a clear, direct and natural sound with excellent speech intelligibility and accurate transient reproduction.

In addition, the integrated Drive Motion Calibration (DMC) technology controls woofer movement. This reduces distortion and makes the low-frequency response tighter, more defined and better controlled—even at high levels.

Intelligent DSP Functions for Live Use

The DXR MkIII series was purpose-built for professional use and offers numerous practical DSP features. Notably, the intelligent feedback suppression automatically detects and effectively reduces feedback, making speech reinforcement, announcements and live performances much easier to manage.

The automatic horizontal/vertical orientation detection Auto V/H is also integrated. The speaker senses its position and adjusts the tuning accordingly, ensuring optimal reproduction whether used FOH or as a stage monitor.

Additional DSP modes such as FOH/MAIN, MONITOR, LIVE MUSIC, DJ and SPEECH allow fast adaptation to different applications and music styles.

Wireless Control and Modern Operation

With the new Yamaha D-REMOTE app for iOS and Android, the DXR MkIII series can be conveniently controlled and monitored remotely. Speaker parameters, DSP functions and system settings can be adjusted wirelessly via the app—especially useful for flown speakers, installations or larger setups, where it significantly streamlines workflow.

The series also supports Bluetooth audio streaming for simple wireless playback, making it quick and easy to send music—ideal for mobile DJs, presentations, events or fast setups without extra source hardware.

For intuitive operation, the speakers have a user-friendly LC display with a rotary control. Key functions and DSP settings can be configured quickly and directly on the unit.
