The chalumeau is historically the predecessor of today’s clarinet and is blown with an embouchure similar to the clarinet’s. In the Pocket-Clarineau, the charm of the historic chalumeau was combined with the advantages of modern clarinet mouthpieces...
...and because an instrument is only as good as its mouthpiece, the instruments are delivered with high-quality Zinner mouthpieces made in Germany.
Special Construction
The reeds are made in Germany by a small manufactory. The Clarineau is built with 2 keys. Thanks to the special design, the keys reliably protect the pads and springs. Because the keys are uniquely integrated into the body, damage is virtually impossible even in rough school use.
The body is made of impregnated pearwood. The pearwood gives the instruments a particularly soft and warm tone. The wood used is proven pesticide- and contaminant-free.
