When the Super 64X hit the market, it thrilled chromatic players with its beautiful black-and-gold design and doubled reed plate thickness in the lower two octaves, delivering an incredible power boost. Developing a successor was no easy task, but Hohner has once again exceeded expectations with the new Super 64X.
The reed plate thickness is now doubled across the entire instrument, making the power boost usable in every octave, and the new high-end coating delivers a breathtaking look. The VarioSpring System allows individual adjustment of the slider spring tension. Thanks to the revolutionary design of the new SilentSlide, the slider movement is completely airtight and nearly silent. Additionally, the optimized comb chambers ensure the fastest response.
The new Super 64X also sets standards in durability and easy maintenance. The reed plates are screwed in without contact to the covers, reducing tension on the reeds and simplifying maintenance tasks. The covers are individually mounted, and the included zip case lets moisture escape, protects against dirt, and doubles as a practical workbench.
