The Cerveny CBB 697-4 SK is a 6/4 Bb tuba designed for musicians seeking a powerful instrument and a majestic tone. With four valves, a 21.2 mm bore and a 450 mm bell, it delivers exceptional depth, resonance and projection. At 1100 mm tall it impresses visually and meets the highest professional demands.

The optimized CBB 697-4 SK tuba features tone compensation on the 2nd valve slide. The tuning bow is spring-loaded "on pull" and can be extended with the right thumb when needed. The ring is mounted slightly angled, making it ideal to operate with the right thumb.

The newly shaped, custom main tuning slide provides improved response.

High-Quality Components and Thoughtful Features for Comfortable Playing

The instrument's body and bell are made of brass, ensuring clear intonation and good response across all registers. The leadpipe is made of gold brass and the inner slides are nickel silver, which significantly increases durability.

Perfect handling is guaranteed by the adjustable thumb ring and ergonomically arranged valve buttons. The valve cluster uses Minibal joints to ensure smooth, reliable valve action. The water key is mounted on the main tuning slide.

The instrument is, of course, delivered in a robust hard-shell case and includes a silver-plated mouthpiece.
