From the look a very nice instrument with a good machine.
The valves run very well.
Problems I have so far with the intonation.
Some notes are too low.
Especially with the F 2 you have to readjust extremely.
I still have the hope that it is partly due to the supplied JK mouthpiece.
For this reason I have now ordered 3 mouthpieces from different manufacturers, so that I can get an idea.
If the intonation does not improve, I will send the trumpet back.
The sound is ok....

The first impression when unpacking: The noble appearance of the finely silver-plated instrument in its chic case. But what are the tonal qualities of the instrument ?
The first notes with my own piccolo mouthpiece ( Bach- Cornett- mouthpiece 7D ) and the A- pin ( it is generally recommended, also with other brands, for intonation reasons ) were very good in the middle to high scale range, the low notes I would have to re-intonate with the slightly common tuning slides. But this is necessary with all small trumpets due to their construction.
And the first pieces ? As a trumpet player you have a lot to do during the Christmas season. I played a few passages from the WO for a recent occasion. The sound is round, not obtrusive, as I find, with my mouthpiece noble in sound. A little more blowing resistance than the original Schilke Piccolo there is already. If one plays WO 1st trumpet, I could imagine this rather on the original to make. But I already know that I am looking forward to the 7 WO assignments this year in the 2nd voice, because with this instrument it is already possible for me to develop my own individual tone after a short time. Now as a professional musician I am more able to do this.
But I can also recommend this instrument to an amateur player, someone who wants to gain more experience on piccolo trumpets.
He should definitely prefer it to the trumpets that cost just under 300 Euros. One could easily be disappointed there - to put it mildly. Great trumpets that are worth their money can be found for 300,-!
The Lechgold Piccolo is "only" a copy, but what does that mean? Some time ago Yamaha also produced copies with considerable success, and at an affordable price. The Lechgold Piccolo series is just as serious!

Vielen Dank für Ihre kritische Bewertung. Sicherlich kann man über das Mundstück bei der Intonation noch viel erreichen. Bei einem Instrument dieser Größe machen sich Nuancen bemerkbar.
