Die Posaunen der Yamaha 400 Serie bestechen mit einem wunderschönen vollen Ton, einer gleichmässigen Ansprache und einem perfekten Quartventilmechanismus. Sie sind leicht zu spielen und optisch genau wie die professionellen Yamaha Posaunen, abgesehen vom Preis.
Der Schallstückdurchmesser und die Bohrung sind gleich wie bei den "Pro" Modellen, von denen die Posaunen der 400 Serie auch viele handgearbeitete Details erhalten haben. Alle Modelle haben ein 214,4 mm Schallstück aus Goldmessing, was einen warmen vollen Klang garantiert und in jedem Konzertsaal wunderbar klingt. Ausserdem offerieren diese Posaunen eine unglaublich genaue Intonation und eine sehr leichte Zugführung, eine leichte Ansprache, eine angenehme Spielbarkeit.
Die YSL-446GE besitzt ein original Yamaha Quartventil, welches sehr leicht zu bewegen ist und für eine freie und offene Ansprache steht.
