The Shires TBQ30GR is a professional quart trombone (tenor trombone / large-bore tenor) for players who want a carrying, clear sound with a singing response. At its heart is the QTY bell with 216 mm Ø: two-piece, hand-hammered, with "QI" taper in lightweight gold brass and a soldered bell rim - for direct projection, precise sonic definition and at the same time a warm, colorful tone. The large 13,9 mm bore provides a broad sonic spectrum that stays stable in tutti and carries effortlessly in solo.

Gold brass delivers an elegant balance of warmth and definition. In combination with the QI taper you get a very "singing" sound that cuts cleanly in symphonic sections, wind ensembles and big band alike. The soldered beading stabilizes the rim and supports reliable centering even at high dynamics.
