The Hans Hoyer Model 801 is an F/Bb double horn in Geyer design that delivers excellent response, clean intonation, comfortable handling and a heroic tone. A practical feature of this model is the detachable screw-on bell - allowing the horn to be transported easily in the compact lightweight case.

All Good Things Come in Threes: 3B

Unlike conventional piston-action joint constructions, the new, innovative 3B joint system uses two bronze-mounted steel balls per valve to provide ideal power transmission to the valve, both at the piston foot and at the end of the pushrod to the rotor.

3B stands for "Bronze Ball Bearing" or "bronzegelagerte Stahlkugel". To let this high-quality ball/bearing combination fully exploit its advantages, a spring at each piston foot ensures smooth action and a soft, string-mechanism-like pressure feel.

A Double Horn for Every Ambitious Horn Player

In this design the F/Bb switching valve is arranged as a supplementary valve. The four valves aligned in a row allow especially good airflow and therefore enable flexible, unhindered playing in all registers. The best-selling 801 has been produced by the thousands for decades and has been constantly refined.
