Hoyer 702 B French Horn - The Single Horn!

The Hoyer family ranks among the oldest musical-instrument-making families in the Vogtland. Since the 19th century they've been specialists in producing single horns, double horns, triple horns, descant horns and Wagner tubas. Thanks to consistently outstanding craftsmanship, their instruments enjoy a high reputation worldwide. The quality of the Hans Hoyer master horns results from extremely precise manufacturing and a close, fruitful collaboration with renowned horn players.

All Good Things Come in Threes: 3B

Unlike conventional valve-linkage constructions, the new, innovative 3B joint system uses two bronze-mounted steel balls per valve to ensure ideal power transmission to the valve, both at the valve casing foot and at the end of the pushrod to the rotor.

3B stands for "Bronze Ball Bearing" or "bronze-mounted steel ball." To let this high-quality ball/bearing combination fully play out its advantages, a spring at the valve casing foot ensures smooth action and a soft, string-mechanism-like pressure feel.

The "Single" French Horn

Single does not mean simple. The single-wound, handcrafted Hans Hoyer master horns are fitted with the patented 3B joint system, which enables particularly effortless valve operation.

The leadpipe is made of high-quality gold brass to prevent premature corrosion. The three-dimensionally adjustable finger hook lets you tailor the horn perfectly to your needs. The exceptionally easy response and excellent intonation make the 702 B French Horn not only an ideal beginner instrument but also especially popular in orchestras and traditional brass bands.

There’s music inside — the perfect horn for everyone, not just beginners!
