Sound Bridge for Defined Tone and Better Intonation!

For optimal sound, a wind instrument ideally consists of one piece. For practical reasons, however (tuning, transport, technical constraints), wind instruments—as we use them today—are made of several sections. lefreQue is a revolutionary sound bridge that acoustically connects the sections of your wind instrument and combines the advantages of both. The result is an unmatched improvement in your sound quality: pure overtones, precise tuning, clear response, smooth intervals, extended dynamics, and enhanced projection.

Saxophonist and flutist Hans Kuijt originally invented lefreQue for the saxophone because he was dissatisfied with the sound quality of even the best instruments. He concluded that all joints between the different parts of a wind instrument negatively affect sound quality and tuning.

Cork, for example, is a material that absorbs sound. It is excellent for sealing a mouthpiece airtight to the instrument. At the same time, however, it has properties that hinder the proper transmission of the optimal sound from the mouthpiece to the instrument. In fact, it even dampens the sound. lefreQue solves these problems.

Even wind instruments without cork joints sound better with the lefreQue sound bridge because sound breaks, which occur at the connection points of the individual parts, are minimized.

The lefreQue sound bridge consists of two metal plates that connect the joints of the individual parts of an instrument. The metal plates are fixed with separately available elastic bands. No modifications to the instrument itself are necessary.
