The Pickup Mute combines a high-performance mute with an internal microphone for sound pickup. Significantly smaller and lighter than previous versions, the mute offers outstanding attenuation performance, excellent intonation over a wide range, and a natural playability. Thanks to the new compact design, you can now store the instrument in its case with the mute in the bell.

An adapter that ensures compatibility with bass trombones is included with the SB5J mute and makes the Yamaha SILENT Brass system accessible to a larger number of trombonists.
