FlexMaxx Ligature

The AW Woodwinds FlexMaxx ligature fits in seconds, increases perceived sound volume and—through improved reed vibration—optimizes response and pitch stability. Depending on the position of the ring-shaped FlexMaxx, the saxophone's sound changes. If the perforated side faces the reed (position "Bright"), a radiant, projecting sound unfolds, preferred by soloists for example. If the closed side faces the reed (position "Focus"), you get a more homogeneous, warmer overall sound with greater depth. Sonically, the ligature sits between textile ligatures (less muffled) and metal ligatures (warmer and more balanced), making it versatile in use.
