FlexMaxx Ligature

The FlexMaxx ligature from AW Woodwinds can be attached in seconds, increases projection and—by improving the reed's vibration behavior—optimizes response and pitch stability. Depending on which position the ring-shaped FlexMaxx is mounted in, the saxophone's sound changes. When the gridded side faces the reed (position "Bright"), a brilliant sound unfolds, preferred by soloists, for example. When the closed side faces the reed (position "Focus"), you get a more homogeneous, warmer overall tone with greater depth. Sonically, the ligature sits between textile ligatures (less muffled) and metal ligatures (warmer and more balanced), making it highly versatile.
