FlexMaxx Ligature

The FlexMaxx ligature from AW Woodwinds fits in seconds, increases perceived volume and optimizes the reed's vibration for improved response and tonal stability. Depending on which position the ring-shaped FlexMaxx is placed in, the saxophone's sound changes. If the vented side faces the reed (position "Bright"), a radiant, projecting sound unfolds, preferred by soloists. If the closed side faces the reed (position "Focus"), you get a more homogeneous, warmer overall sound with greater depth. Sonically, the ligature sits between textile ligatures (less damped) and metal ligatures (warmer and more balanced), which makes it very versatile.
