Cleaning Set for Brass Instruments!
With the REKA cleaning sets for brass instruments, every brass player will find the cleaning set suited to their instrument, making internal cleaning a simple and quick task so that it actually gets done. The set consists of 2–4 parts depending on the instrument, with the most important component being the sponge-rubber cleaner attached to a flexible cord; it adapts perfectly to different instrument diameters and removes all deposits and residues when pulled through the bends. Because it is attached to a flexible cord, even the smallest tuning slides and even the valve-connecting tubes (for Perinet valves) can be cleaned.
What You Should Know About Internal Cleaning of Brass Instruments:
- It's absolutely necessary
- During playing, saliva carries solids into the instruments, where they settle in the interior cavities
- These deposits also contain aggressive acids that attack the tubing from the inside
- These solids affect the airflow of the vibrating air as well as the instrument's natural resonance, significantly reducing tonal quality and playability
- Removing these substances is therefore physically necessary and indispensable for the preservation and maintenance of the instruments
