Simple Design and Stable Stand

The stand is delivered in three parts. With a suitable hex key (not included), it can be quickly assembled and ready to use. The base contains an elongated cutout where the bell ring finds secure support and cannot slip away. The bell tube is supported by a felt-lined recess at the front.

The top part features three holes (2x 70mm and 1x 110 mm) for the middle tube and 2 hand tubes. These holes are also lined with needle felt to protect the components from accidental scratches. Similarly, 3 felt-lined recesses are embedded in the base plate to keep the parts securely in place. The bottom of the alphorn stand is also equipped with 4 felt gliders.

Practical Benefits

Condensation inside the instrument caused by playing can significantly shorten an alphorn’s lifespan. To counter this, alphorns should be allowed to dry out in fresh air after use. Additionally, a set-up horn looks incredibly decorative in the living room.
The three holes in the top can hold up to 3 mouthpieces, allowing you to quickly and flexibly switch your equipment at home or on the go.
