We carefully control the specifications and dimensions of Stentor instruments in our own workshops to produce instruments that feature the essential qualities of a good tone and consistent quality control. On all Stentor instruments, the bridge and sound post are carefully fitted to ensure optimal playability.

Stentor Student I

The Stentor Student I is the ideal entry-level violin. This instrument offers reliable, consistent performance and a good tone, enhancing the learning process for the student. Each instrument is made from solid tonewoods with inlaid purfling and high-quality Pau-Rosa pegs and an ebonized, straight-grained fingerboard. It features a premium bridge and a tailpiece with integrated fine tuners.

The outfit includes a reliable wooden bow and a thoughtfully designed, lightweight case with an internal compartment, an outer pocket for the shoulder rest, a music pouch, bow holders, rosin, and backpack straps. (Sizes 1/32 and 1/64 have wooden tailpieces with string adjusters). The Student I violins are available in sizes: 4/4, 3/4, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/10, 1/16, 1/32, 1/64.

Tuner with Metronome

This universal device is the perfect companion for virtually any instrument. Not only can almost any instrument be tuned accurately with the contact microphone and wide tuning range, but the built-in metronome also keeps everything in the right tempo. The calibratable tuner offers 5 tuning modes, a tone generator, and a jack input with contact microphone. The metronome features a wide tempo range from 30 to 260 beats per minute, 9 time signatures, and various rhythm subdivisions.

Music Stand

This music stand offers a tripod design for optimal stability. Naturally, the legs are fitted with solid, non-slip rubber caps. The music tray can be tilted and fixed with a screw. With a depth of approx. 4 cm, this stand is also excellent for thick music books.

Violin Basics

This book guides you step by step. Everything you need to know to start playing the violin or refresh your skills is explained. With the quick-start at the beginning of the book, you can get going immediately. After just a few minutes, you can play your first simple songs! To help you know how the pieces and exercises sound before playing, they are recorded on the included CD. The music theory you need for violin playing is summarized in the third part of the book, where important terms are explained in detail.
