The Classic Cantabile US-100 features a matte-finished body and a hardwood neck with a neatly crafted fingerboard. With the smooth guitar tuners, tuning the ukulele is child's play.
The ukulele is equipped with nylon strings. Its compact size makes it perfect as a travel instrument, as it easily fits into a backpack or an optionally available gigbag.
Originally, the Portuguese immigrant João Fernandes brought the Braguinha, a local form of the Cavaquinho, from Madeira to Hawaii in 1879. There it was named "Ukulele" (jumping flea), reflecting the Hawaiians’ impression of the fingers quickly moving over the instrument’s fingerboard.
From Hawaii, the ukulele then traveled via America to Europe, where it also found great popularity in the music scene.
At the latest since Stefan Raab and "TV Total," the ukulele has become a true cult musical instrument in Germany!

I ordered this one just to try it out.
Admittedly: very cheap piece, you should not expect too much.
When it arrived, it smelled so much like chemicals that I only took a cursory look at the rest. She didn't seem that well made. How she holds the mood etc. I can not say. Have them go right back again.
BUT: that was a few years ago. No idea if anything has changed on the instrument.
