Arcade Synthesizer and Sequencer with Chord Control & Punch-In Effects
The Swedish company Teenage Engineering was founded in 2005 in Stockholm. It specializes in synthesizers and groove machines. Product design is always given high priority: it is inspired by handheld devices and follows a clear design language. Teenage Engineering has won several design awards for various products, including the manufacturer’s first device, the powerful synthesizer OP-1.
A Must-Have for Gamers
The PO-20 arcade features 16 synthesis-based video game, console, and chiptune sounds controlled via the built-in step sequencer. The pocket synthesizers from the Swedish cult brand Teenage Engineering have no casing, so all components and the circuit board are directly visible and part of the design. Power is supplied by 2 standard (AAA) micro batteries.
Additionally, each pocket operator has an animated LCD display, a built-in speaker, bent wire stand, Jam Sync for syncing with other devices, line inputs and outputs (3.5 mm jack), and conveniently, an integrated alarm clock. Parameter Lock allows recording automations per step. Effects include filter, bitcrusher, delay, and stutter, among others.
Comfortable Stereo Headphones
The KH-238 delivers a full, balanced sound with rich bass and clear highs. It offers plenty of volume while maintaining clean and precise stereo imaging. The softly padded, wide headband is length-adjustable with 12 steps per side for optimal fit. For even more comfort, the ear cups are mounted on two axes for rotation. The thick, soft padding of the circumaural ear cups also provides good external noise isolation. The integrated volume control on the cable is always within reach, simplifying use with PCs or mp3 players. The 3.5 mm stereo jack provides excellent transmission quality, and a 6.3 mm stereo adapter is also included.
