For the JX-08, we preserved the original design of the JX-8P—yet introduced a range of modern upgrades that take your experience to the next level. The JX-08 is equipped with 17 powerful effects, many new to the Roland Boutique lineup. Make your JX patches shine with classic chorus, phaser, and delay. Or add some grit with overdrive, fuzz, bit crusher, and the new lo-fi compressor. Pitch shifters are also available to add extra dimension and character to your sounds.

Moving Music.

Once you’ve created your patches, the two-part polyphonic sequencer comes into play: program your leads, basslines, or basic chords and sync everything with other devices in your electronic ensemble. With motion recording and the built-in arpeggiator, you bring movement to your sounds and make your lines dance.

MIDI, USB, and External Clock Input...

The JX-08 features an integrated USB-C audio/MIDI interface, allowing you to sync the synthesizer seamlessly with any computer production software. MIDI inputs and outputs are also available for connecting external MIDI hardware. There’s even an input for an external clock to control the JX-08’s sequencer and arpeggiator via analog vintage instruments and modern Eurorack systems.

Keyboard for On the Go.

The compact JX-08 fits anywhere and can be comfortably played and controlled via a master keyboard or computer DAW. Besides running on standard AA batteries for hours of mobile jamming, it features a built-in speaker to enjoy full sound on the move. For even more convenience, you can expand the JX-08 with the elegant DK-01 Boutique Dock Case to position the module flat or in two tilt angles. Or grab the K-25m Keyboard Unit to turn the JX-08 into a fully standalone, portable instrument.

Comfortable Stereo Headphones

The KH-238 delivers a full, balanced sound with rich bass and clear highs. It offers plenty of volume while maintaining clean and precise stereo imaging. The softly padded, wide headband is adjustable in length, with 12 steps per side for an optimal fit. For extra comfort, the ear cups rotate on two axes. The thick, soft padding of the circumaural cups also provides good external noise isolation. The cable-integrated volume control is always within reach, simplifying use with PCs or mp3 players. The 3.5 mm stereo jack ensures excellent transmission quality, and a 6.3 mm stereo adapter is included.
