The JD-Xi features extensive controls for real-time editing, as well as polyphonic PCM sounds like pads, strings, brass and more. With the pattern sequencer and built-in drum kits you can generate loops in no time. The gooseneck microphone, combined with the built-in vocoder and the AutoPitch function, makes the JD-Xi a versatile synthesizer with great sounds and lots of fun!

Analog And Digital Synths In One Keyboard

With its unique crossover sound engine, the JD-Xi represents the best of both worlds: the warm, smooth character of classic analog and the clarity and versatility of modern digital. The newly developed monophonic analog synthesizer section supports sawtooth, triangle and square waveforms with pulse-width modulation and an analog filter, plus an independent sub-oscillator for low-end power. The two digital synthesizer sections offer 128-voice polyphony and a wide selection of SuperNATURAL synth sounds, including pads, strings, electric piano, sound effects and much more.

Gooseneck Microphone For Vocoder, AutoPitch & Other Vocal Effects

The JD-Xi is equipped with a sturdy, high-quality gooseneck microphone. When using the vocoder you can sing into the microphone and control pitch by playing the keyboard. The AutoPitch function can produce extreme, robotic vocal sounds. The Auto Note function lets you sing JD-Xi synth sounds without using the keyboard.

Create Loops With The Four-Track Pattern Sequencer

With the intuitive pattern sequencer and the large selection of built-in sounds you can craft sophisticated songs. The sequencer offers four separate tracks: two digital synth parts, one analog synth part and one drum part — perfect for rich loops in any musical genre. For recording there are three modes: real-time recording, step recording and TR-REC mode, which lets you program in the classic style of Roland's TR beatboxes. Playing patterns and tweaking sounds during a live performance is no problem with the JD-Xi. Preset patterns also invite spontaneous jamming.

Pro Drum Kits For Powerful Beats

With its wide selection of dynamic drum kits, the JD-Xi delivers the right sound for any groove. Various electronic and acoustic kits are available, easy to find thanks to labels above the keys for each drum instrument. They can be tailored to your needs, with editable filter, envelope, pitch and pan parameters for each drum sound.

Sounds With Impressive Effects

The JD-Xi features four effect sections that can enhance any sound. Effects 1 and 2 offer various programs such as Bit Crusher, Slicer or Ring Mod, plus the separate Delay and Reverb effect sections. Each effect section can be switched on or off separately for the three synth parts as well as the drum part, enabling a wide range of creative effect combinations.
