The Akai Professional MPC Key 37 is a standalone keyboard workstation that has everything you need to produce music. The iconic MPC series has been the heart of beatmakers’ and producers’ studios for over three decades and has evolved into a production platform that combines sampling, sequencing, and synthesis in a lightning-fast workflow so you can focus entirely on your music. MPC Key 37 merges the familiar 16-pad grid with a 37-note synthesizer-style keyboard, legendary MPC sounds and instruments, plus all the connectivity you need to integrate with your external gear and computer—all in a compact format.

Sound

MPC Key 37 comes loaded with a core collection of sounds and samples from Akai MPC’s industry-standard plug-ins. Included are 8 plug-in instruments: including Hype, Odyssey, Mellotron, and more, plus over 10 GB of production-ready samples and drum kits. Together, these offer over 1000 production-ready presets, and if you want to dive deeper, each plug-in instrument features advanced synthesis, deep parameter editing, and effects to program exactly the sound you need. With 32 GB of internal storage (plus expandable media via SD card and USB), you have plenty of room to grow your sample and instrument library in any direction you want.

Effects

MPC Key 37 includes over 100 powerful studio-quality effects for creative production and mixing. Add lush reverb and delay effects to your tracks, give your drums punch and groove, and mix with modern or vintage compressors and limiters. MPC Key 37 also comes with state-of-the-art vocal effect plug-ins that you can use for pure vocal tracks or creative sound design.

User Interface

The MPC Key 37 features a synth-action keyboard with aftertouch plus separate pitch and modulation wheels. The synthesizer-style keyboard is designed specifically for players and producers, whether you’re adding basslines to your productions or jamming synth leads on stage. The 16 velocity-sensitive RGB pads are the same award-winning pads found on the MPC One+, along with the familiar MPC time correct, swing, and quantize functions that continue to inspire top producers. Tweaking and editing happen on the 7" multi-touch display and 5 Q-Link knobs, so you can handle both fine control and quick access to the parameters you need right at your fingertips.

Connectivity

The MPC Key 37 can also serve as a hub for your outboard gear: connect MIDI devices via USB or the MIDI DIN ports and integrate modular rigs through the 8 CV/Gate outputs. Built-in Wi-Fi/Bluetooth enables wireless sync with Ableton Link and MPC OS updates, and the SD card reader lets you expand sounds and tracks.

DAW Integration

The MPC Key 37 features a built-in 2-in 2-out USB audio/MIDI interface, so you can record audio and MIDI directly in and out of your computer. The included MPC software is a standalone DAW on your Mac or PC, allowing you to use all the hardware’s capabilities but with as many tracks as your computer can handle. The MPC software is also available as a VST/AU plug-in, so you can open it in major DAWs like FL Studio, Logic, Ableton, Pro Tools, Studio One, and more, combining your preferred workflows.
