So I've tried and played many types of guitar strings offered for acoustic guitars over the decades. But I always come back to Martin or D'Addario. No matter if phosphor or only bronze. I find them perfectly ok from the price/performance ratio. I do not understand the hype about coated strings. They are just very expensive and at some point they have to be changed. It's like buying a pair of coated trousers or something similar and then wearing them for a few weeks and months! I think it's all a matter of faith. The fact is that I personally am satisfied with the sound.
