I have so far always played Elixir strings and am also super satisfied except for the expensive price. However, I have always heard and read that D'Addario strings are supposed to be so great. Especially in the treble. So I thought I would just test it myself and bought 2 different sets in different strengths. Unfortunately I can't confirm that with this tested set. For me Elixir strings simply sound much better and above all more brilliant. But it is just a matter of taste. If the return with 3.90 would not be much too expensive I would return the other set.
