i tune the strings to open drop c. they play warm, powerful and transparent at the same time. if you change from factory strings to these thicker ones, you may have to work on the saddle of the guitar. i.e. the notches for the strings have to be filed larger. be careful here, because you can make a lot of mistakes.
for my ibanez guitar fit these strings very well and are also quite tuning stable. according to my feeling, the strings are the minimum for drop c. otherwise the strings are too sloppy.
