Stainless Steel Strings for Electric Bass With Nanoweb Coating!
Built on detailed feedback from more than a thousand bassists, our custom range of four-, five-, and six-string bass sets in nickel-wound and stainless steel covers long and extra-long scales and nearly every gauge combination you could need. And every set features our innovative string coating technology.
Unlike other string brands, Elixir coats the entire string. That not only protects the string surface but also the winding gaps—where tone-killing dirt normally builds up on coated and uncoated strings from other brands.
Elixir Strings has reinvented the stainless-steel bass string. Carefully, we improved everything you love about stainless steel and reduced what you don't like (including the feared shrill overtones). These round-wound electric bass strings deliver a brilliant stainless tone with powerful low end. At the same time, the NANOWEB coating, newly developed specifically for bass, provides a comfortable, natural feel that improves grip and reduces handling noise.
