The low-oval Okoume neck enables comfortable chord work, while the Purpleheart fretboard emphasizes the guitar's aesthetic and tonal character. The solid African mahogany top produces warm, full midrange and clear, bright highs, sonically complemented by the sapele back and sides. For authentic, detailed sound reproduction the Ibanez T-Bar Undersaddle pickup handles the signal, supported by the AEQ-TP2 preamp with 2-band EQ and a clear integrated tuner. A Purpleheart bridge and the practical Ibanez Advantage pins ensure optimal vibration transfer and easy handling. A special feature is the innovative A.I.R.port, which selectively reflects sound waves to allow better self-monitoring.

The newly developed Grand Dreadnought body generates more volume, stronger lows and an overall richer tonal image — yet remains surprisingly comfortable to play thanks to thoughtful ergonomics. The X-M bracing design optimizes vibration transfer and delivers clear lows, present highs and warm, focused mids with high dynamics.
