Ibanez AAD361CE-TKR Advanced Acoustic Transparent Black High Gloss

Ibanez AAD361CE - Modern Grand Dreadnought With an Expanded Sound Concept!

The Ibanez AAD361CE from the Advanced Acoustic series pairs a solid Thermo-Aged German spruce top with flamed acacia back and sides, a generously sized Grand-Dreadnought body and stage-ready electronics. With X-M bracing, an Advanced Access cutaway and the Ibanez A.I.R.port, the instrument follows a distinctive design that purposefully develops classic acoustic-guitar characteristics.

Grand Dreadnought With X-M Bracing

The heart of the AAD361CE is the Ibanez-developed Grand Dreadnought body. Compared to a classic dreadnought layout, this construction offers a generous body volume and forms the foundation for a powerful acoustic presence with a wide dynamic range. The solid Thermo-Aged German spruce top works in concert with the X-M bracing, while the arched flamed acacia back complements the carefully conceived body construction. Back and sides in flamed acacia also provide a distinctive material characteristic.

Comfortable Neck and Advanced Access Cutaway

The flamed maple neck features the Ibanez Low Oval Grip profile and a rolled fingerboard edge. This combination is designed for comfortable playability across the full 650 mm scale length. The rosewood fingerboard has a 400 mm radius and carries specially designed inlays. The Advanced Access cutaway eases access to the upper frets, while the dovetail neck-to-body joint at the 14th fret provides a traditional constructional foundation. Bone nut and compensated bone saddle complete the acoustic build.

A.I.R.port for More Direct Sound Perception

A special feature of the Advanced Acoustic series is the A.I.R.port. This additional opening directs part of the sound produced inside the body toward the player, making the instrument more immediately perceptible while playing. The scalloped rosewood bridge and Ibanez Advantage bridge pins round out the construction focused on acoustic function and practical handling.

Ibanez Electronics for Stage and Recording

For amplified use the AAD361CE is equipped with an Ibanez T-bar undersaddle pickup and the Ibanez AEQ-TP2 preamp. Volume, bass and treble controls let you shape the output directly on the instrument. A built-in tuner with a separate on/off switch makes tuning easy without extra gear. In addition to the 6.3 mm jack output, a balanced XLR output is available, allowing the guitar to be flexibly connected to amplifiers, mixing consoles and other audio equipment.

Thoughtful Details for Everyday Use

Gold-colored die-cast tuners with an 18:1 ratio allow fine-tuned adjustments. The rounded body edge and rosewood binding underline the series' ergonomic focus. With six strings in standard tuning and factory strings .012 to .053, the AAD361CE presents itself as a versatile electro-acoustic steel-string guitar for expressive strumming, dynamic picking and amplified stage use.
