The fascination and legend of the Gibson J-45 live on in the new Murphy Lab 1942 Banner J-45. Inspired by the holy grail of acoustic instruments, guitar makers in Montana crafted a J-45 that matches the structure and components of the most popular and famous version.
The new 1942 Banner J-45 features a thermally aged Adirondack red spruce top, hand-painted in a historic burst, hot-glued top bracing for improved tonal response, as well as bone nut and saddle.
The Murphy Lab Light Aged finish, combined with lightly aged tuners and subtle playwear, gives it the unique character, vibe, and feel from Gibson’s Golden Era.
