The Epiphone J-45 Studio is part of the brand-new Epiphone Studio Acoustic Collection. These guitars were completely redesigned to offer the most authentic and affordable acoustic instruments inspired by the legendary Gibson designs. The J-45 Studio delivers an appealing blend of vintage charm and modern craftsmanship and is engineered to produce an expressive, resonant tone that is perfect for blues and folk enthusiasts.

Based on the classic Gibson J-45 "The Workhorse", the J-45 Studio features a slope-shoulder body and a 24.75" (629 mm) scale length, just like the Gibson model that inspired it. The J-45 Studio produces a warm, full-bodied tone with exceptional clarity, making it ideal for a wide range of musical styles. The J-45 Studio has a multi-ply mahogany body with a solid spruce top for a responsive, balanced tone with excellent dynamic range that continues to improve with age.

The mahogany neck is glued into the body with a tapered dovetail joint and features a Rounded C profile for comfortable playability. The neck is fitted with a rosewood fingerboard with 20 standard frets and simple pearloid dot inlays. The strings pass over a compensated plastic nut and are anchored with ivory-colored bridge pins at the belly-up rosewood bridge.

Epiphone also added other details that give the J-45 Studio an even stronger vintage look, including a teardrop-shaped dark tortoiseshell-style pickguard, three-on-a-plate tuners with ivory-colored plastic buttons, and a '60s Kalamazoo-style headstock with the Epiphone logo proudly screen-printed in gold.

The J-45 Studio is equipped with Fishman electronics, including an S-Core under-saddle pickup and a Fishman Presys VT preamp with soundhole-mounted volume and tone controls that are quick and easy for the player to access while remaining nearly invisible to the audience. The Epiphone J-45 Studio sports a gloss finish and is available in two vintage-inspired colors: Natural and Vintage Sunburst. Both right- and left-handed versions are available. A standard gigbag is also included.
