The Gibson Hummingbird was Gibson's first square-shouldered acoustic model and, since its introduction in 1960, has become one of the most popular and recognizable acoustic guitars in the world. It's prized for its versatility, equally at home with first-position chord work as it is with powerful acoustic lead melodies, and it has been used by countless artists across a wide range of musical genres.

Epiphone is proud to present the Hummingbird Standard EC, an Inspired by Gibson version of the world-famous Hummingbird with some notable updates that make this legendary guitar better than ever. The Hummingbird Standard EC features an all-solid-wood construction, including a solid mahogany back and sides paired with a solid spruce top. This is the classic Hummingbird tonewood recipe that delivers the sweet tones this model is famous for. The body features a cutaway that makes this "bird" even more expressive and provides easier access to the upper registers of the fingerboard. The mahogany neck is fitted with a rosewood fingerboard, equipped with 20 standard frets and adorned with beautiful mother-of-pearl split parallelogram inlays.

The belly-up bridge is also rosewood, and both the saddle and nut are bone. The newly redesigned pickguard is done in an epoxy-style and decorated with the iconic hummingbird, butterfly, and floral motifs that are a visual hallmark of the Hummingbird. High-quality Grover Rotomatic tuners deliver solid tuning stability so you can spend more time playing and less time tuning. When tuning is needed, the built-in Fishman electronics include an onboard tuner plus side-mounted controls for volume and EQ, making this Hummingbird stage- and studio-ready. A premium gig bag is also included to protect the Hummingbird Standard EC and make it easy to carry to your next jam, rehearsal, or gig.
