Legendary Look, Deluxe Reimagined - The Hummingbird Deluxe EC!
The unmistakable Hummingbird, now in a new Deluxe cutaway version, joins the Epiphone Inspired by Gibson Custom lineup. These beautiful acoustic guitars were designed and configured by Epiphone in collaboration with the Gibson Custom acoustic team in Bozeman, Montana. The Hummingbird Deluxe EC has been elevated and modernized through the use of gorgeous, solid rosewood for the back and sides.
This gives the guitar the full, rich tone of the traditional Hummingbird, along with the additional tonal nuances of rosewood, resulting in deeper bass and even more sparkling overtones in the highs. The Hummingbird Deluxe EC's cutaway body allows easier access to the upper frets, making it an excellent choice for lead players and anyone who wants to explore the entire fingerboard. Rosewood back and sides are paired with a thermally aged solid spruce top, producing a pre-aged tone that is louder and more resonant than an unaged top. It's as if a brand-new guitar benefits from the advantages of years of wood aging and maturation. The top is braced with a traditional, scalloped X-bracing crafted from quarter-sawn solid spruce.

There is nothing, absolutely nothing, to complain about with this guitar! A wonderful instrument with a great warm Hummingbird sound, long sustain, and first-class workmanship! The woods are as described, the finish is flawless, and the string action and playability are equally impressive.
At this point, I really have to thank the folks at Gibson for passing on the price advantage they generate by manufacturing their guitars in Asia to their customers in a tangible way, and of course Musikhaus Kirstein for the excellent setup of the instrument! I highly recommend purchasing this Hummingbird!
