Thanks to intuitive features like Stream Lights, which show the player which keys to play, or the Smart Pianist app, players can expand their musical journey and experience new insights. Players simply follow the dynamic lights to play smoothly and harmoniously.

Intuitive Control with Your Smart Device

The Yamaha P-S500 is compatible with the Smart Pianist app, which can be installed on the player’s smart device. Once connected to the instrument, the player gains access to a variety of control functions and instrument settings. Additionally, there are features that make learning and playing even more enjoyable. Furthermore, the app can create sheet music for accompaniments from songs stored on the device, making it even easier to learn favorite tunes. The learning path is greatly simplified by the Stream Lights function. Red and blue lights above each key show the player not only which keys to play but also when to play them. This unique feature even allows playing without reading sheet music.

Two Concert Grands - One Large Collection

Players can look forward to two world-class concert grand piano sounds: the best Yamaha concert grand, the CFX, and the famous Bösendorfer Imperial from Vienna. A privilege you only find with Yamaha instruments. The sound of both instruments was digitally recorded and masterfully integrated into the P-S500 to provide access to the finest piano sound at any time. Thanks to exquisite binaural sampling, you can even experience this overwhelming concert grand sound when wearing headphones.

Authentic Playability - Like an Acoustic Instrument

The P-S500 is equipped with Virtual Resonance Modeling (VRM), which virtually reproduces the typical vibrations and resonances of a classic piano. In this process, VRM calculates the position of each of the instrument’s 88 tones in real time, ensuring an incomparably realistic and complex sound image. Additional playing pleasure comes from the Graded Hammer Standard (GHS) keyboard with 88 weighted keys, providing authentic playing feel.

Exquisite Instrument Sounds and Accompaniment Styles

The P-S500 features 660 high-quality tones from its wide variety of instruments, including pianos, electric pianos, organs, wind instruments, strings, and percussion. The unique Super Articulation Voices reproduce the character of each instrument down to the smallest detail. 100 tones, 100 accompaniment styles, and 100 sounds are ready at the push of a button. In combination with the Smart Pianist app on a connected smart device, the player can even choose from an impressive 370 accompaniment styles and 403 songs. The selection covers a wide range of musical genres. The “Audio To Score” function integrated in the Smart Pianist app automatically creates sheet music for the accompaniment from the player’s favorite songs, enabling play-along with the original recordings.

Audio and MIDI Recording

The P-S500 allows players to record their own playing in two different formats: conventionally as an audio file or in MIDI format with up to 16 tracks for more complex arrangements. Not only recording but also sharing the recorded data is extremely easy with the Smart Pianist app on the smart device. A microphone can be connected to sing along while playing the piano.

Keyboard Stand

Simply loosen the two handy thumb screws, extend smoothly to the desired width, and tighten the screws again – done! The scissor mechanism offers constant stability in every position. To adjust the height, two thumb screws and locking pins allow quick and secure setup. The height can be set in 6 increments from 61 to 85 cm. Since the keyboard table is only 8 cm wide when folded, it can easily be transported in any car or stored behind a cabinet when not in use. Because the height can be adjusted over a wide range, the stand is perfect for both children and adults.

Headphones

The Pronomic KH-900 is a professional stereo headphone that combines excellent sound characteristics with maximum wearing comfort at a budget-friendly price. The soft, wide synthetic leather headband automatically adjusts to head size, ensuring a comfortable fit. The KH-900 features a wide frequency range from 15 to 25,000 Hz, delivering balanced, nuanced sound with brilliant, clear highs and precise, rich bass. Thanks to the low impedance of only 32 ohms, the KH-900 performs impressively even on very low-power headphone outputs, such as MP3 players or smartphones, with powerful sound and sufficient headroom. The 3.5 mm stereo jack provides excellent transmission quality. A 6.3 mm stereo jack adapter is also included.

Keyboard Bench

Despite its compact dimensions, the Classic Cantabile keyboard bench offers excellent seating comfort. The padded top is covered with elegant black synthetic leather and can be easily cleaned if needed. The bench is height-adjustable in 3 steps via a screw on the X-shaped legs. When setting up, one leg is simply hooked under the seat surface and fixed with two screws. Rubber feet ensure a non-slip stand.

Piano Method

The instrument is introduced and explained to beginners in a playful, relaxed way. Starting with familiar, simple melodies and progressing to two-handed playing of complete songs, various theoretical knowledge is also conveyed alongside. Reading sheet music, rhythm, dynamics, and much more are covered alongside the exercises. Additionally, the simple exercises guarantee quick learning success.
