A modern shape was chosen based on a minimalist concept focusing on clean, straight lines that break away from the traditional curved lines and bulkiness of conventional pianos. Both models feature the same modern, streamlined design, including the slim casing, internal speaker fabric, and transparent music rest. The main difference is that the PX-S7000 comes with a fully integrated stand with a wood-decor surface and pedals, giving it the aesthetic beauty of an acoustic grand piano.

Practical and Compact

Casio opted for a minimalist design that uses Casio’s unique technology so the piano naturally integrates into its surroundings and you can play it anywhere! Thanks to our original high-density mounting technology, the internal circuit boards can be stacked vertically, contributing to a compact casing. The front of the piano is sleek and minimalist thanks to the LED keys on the console, allowing easy adjustment of settings and reducing the number of switches and buttons.

The speaker diaphragm was made as large as possible while still fitting into the compact casing to deliver powerful sound. Mica, a reinforcement material used in many high-end audio products, is embedded in the diaphragm of the PX-S7000 and PX-S6000 speakers to produce high frequencies with more detail.

Additionally, the internal speaker structure allows a large movement range of the voice coil for higher sound capacity while simultaneously producing a richer and more resonant bass range. In short, every nuance the player expresses is faithfully reproduced in the sound, giving the player extraordinary freedom in their musical performance.

Mica, a reinforcing material, is embedded in the speaker diaphragm to improve the resolution of high frequencies.

An internal structure that expands the movement range of the voice coil produces a richer and more resonant sound in the lower frequency range due to increased input capacity.

Limitless Possibilities

Both the PX-S7000 and PX-S6000 are equipped with a standard phone MIC-IN jack (TS-Phone) with its own input gain control. So when you connect a commercial dynamic microphone, your voice can be output together with the sound of your instrument through the built-in high-quality speakers. You can also record directly on the piano and apply hall simulator/reverb or microphone effects.

There are 25 types of built-in microphone effects, such as effects that adjust the dynamics and quality of the overall sound, as well as echo, a staple for vocal processing. Additionally, there are many other unique effects that can drastically change your vocal performance. This means you can tailor your voice to fit the desired song or style—an incredible freedom when you want to play and sing at the same time.

Bluetooth® Function

By installing the included Wireless MIDI & Audio Adapter, the possibilities of the PX-S7000 and PX-S6000 are further expanded. Using Casio’s proprietary technology that combines audio and MIDI data via USB, the adapter allows playback of music from your smartphone, tablet, or other device through the PX-S7000/PX-S6000 speaker system, as well as the exchange of MIDI data between the PX-S7000/PX-S6000 and your smartphone, tablet, or other electronic devices.

Although some latency and signal distortion are inevitable when using Bluetooth®, Casio has made several technological advances to ensure outstanding speed and stability.

Piano Position Function

The Spatial Sound System allows the acoustics to be adjusted using the Piano Position function, which changes the sound elements emitted by the four speakers depending on the position where you use the piano. This gives you the freedom to use your piano wherever it best fits your lifestyle! You can choose from four different built-in modes. The first is Standard, which, as the name suggests, is the default setting assuming you play on a stand.

The next mode is Wall, designed for playing against a flat surface. When you play against a wall, the bass range weakens and reflected tones from the wall surface can cause frequency interference. The sound spread from left to right is also reduced as the sound gathers in the center. This setting, combined with the four speakers, corrects the sound and optimizes your playing experience even when playing next to a wall!

The Center mode is for playing in the middle of a room or among a group of people. When you stand in the middle of a room, the sound reflected by the environment is reduced, making it harder to perceive higher ranges as well as left and right spread. This setting compensates by adjusting the sound and improving the listening experience even for people listening from behind.

The last mode is Table, which corrects the sound frequency disturbance caused by reflection from the surface when the instrument is placed on a table. By using these four different piano position modes, you can place the piano anywhere in the room without compromising sound quality!

Keyboard

Both the PX-S7000 and PX-S6000 are equipped with the newly developed Smart Hybrid Hammer Action Keyboard. This internal mechanism is combined with the latest digital control technology to connect the authentic touch of a grand piano with the compact style and convenience of a digital instrument. One of the main features of the Smart Hybrid Hammer Action Keyboard is that it uses the hammer’s weight like a grand piano, so it feels soft with a gentle touch and provides increased resistance with a stronger touch. The keyboard is also equipped with counterweights to balance the hammer mechanism, ensuring smooth and stable movement even with light playing.

Special Playing Feel

The difference in touch feel is influenced by the hammer’s weight, and each of the 88 keys of a grand piano has a different hammer size and thus a different weight. Not only the hammer’s weight but also the thickness and number of strings vary, so the "touch" varies greatly depending on the keyboard area. To accurately reproduce the touch of a grand piano, the 88-key digital scaling technology is used to vary the volume of each key. The hammer response also adjusts the timing of the sound, which differs slightly for each key.

Finest Precision

The Key Off Response function digitally controls the timing of muting based on the keyboard’s movement when releasing the finger. For example, if you play the same note repeatedly, the tone is clearly articulated each time, even if the key has not fully returned to its resting position. This gives you more freedom and detailed expression when connecting and cutting sounds! You can set the key-off response to three different levels, allowing you to add a touch of legato or staccato that best fits the song you are playing!

High-Quality Craftsmanship

Additionally, the white keys are made from a blend of resin and premium spruce wood, also used in grand pianos! A new keyboard finish and embossing give the white keys a more natural, ivory-like appearance and feel, and the black keys an ebony-like look and texture. This keyboard maximizes playability while reproducing the natural touch of a grand piano with an elegant finish that conveys a sense of luxury.

Pedals

The shape of the pedals for the PX-S7000 model was redesigned to better match the design and playability of a concert grand piano. The pedal unit’s hinges were reinforced, parts of the circuit board simplified, and the overall size made more compact, allowing the pedal to become longer and larger.

The PX-S7000 supports not only a continuously adjustable damper pedal but also a two-stage adjustable soft pedal, allowing finer nuances to be set, making it ideal for highly skilled users seeking more creativity. Furthermore, not only was the pedal response improved, but the touch feel was also adjusted and optimized. This makes it easier to add nuances by subtle pedal operation and enhances expressive freedom while playing.
