For the Fundamental series, we took on the challenge of crafting a lineup of pedals that deliver the sonic integrity required for a professional pedalboard but with streamlined controls that are user-friendly even for the newest effect pedal users. Each Fundamental pedal features three sliders for tone shaping and a three-way switch to toggle pedal modes. The result is a series of pedals that will accompany you from your first band rehearsal to a sold-out arena. Designed and made at Walrus Audio headquarters in OKC, OK.

The Fundamental Drive is a versatile overdrive that offers a wide range of sounds thanks to its three-mode switch. It’s the perfect tool at the front of your chain to define the tone for your entire rig.

Gain

The gain slider controls the amount of amplification of the guitar signal passing through the overdrive circuit.

Tone

The tone slider adjusts the degree of high-frequency roll-off.

Volume

The volume control sets the overall output level of the pedal.

Slide Switch

The slide switch lets you toggle between three distinct pedal flavors. Each position offers different clipping modes or tonal profiles:

• Smooth: A classic, soft-sounding silicon overdrive. Clean and smooth.
• Crunch: Silicon soft clipping with additional hard-clipping silicon diodes and a slight boost in the low frequencies. Crunchy and edgy.
• Bright: Silicon soft and hard clipping from the Crunch mode with a pre-clipping low-end cut. Bright and glassy.
