The Fundamental Fuzz is an aggressive fuzz pedal with 3 operating modes, sounding so good it belongs on a pro’s pedalboard, yet with simplified controls that even new pedal users can easily understand. You can place the Fundamental Fuzz anywhere in your chain: pair it with your favorite overdrive or push it into another wild distortion.

For the Fundamental series, we took on the challenge of creating pedals that maintain the sonic integrity required for a professional pedalboard but feature simplified controls that are user-friendly even for the newest pedal players. Each Fundamental pedal offers three sliders for tone shaping and a three-way switch to toggle pedal modes. The result is a lineup of pedals that will accompany you from your first band rehearsal to a sold-out arena. Designed and built at Walrus Audio headquarters in OKC, OK.

The Fundamental Fuzz is an aggressive fuzz pedal with three modes and a wide tonal range. It can be placed anywhere in your chain: combine it with your favorite overdrive or push it into another crazy distortion.

Gain

The Gain control adjusts the amplification of the guitar signal passing through the fuzz circuit.

Tone

The Tone control shapes the frequency response of the signal after distortion. Turning left from center cuts highs, turning right from center cuts lows.

Volume

The Volume control sets the overall output level of the pedal.

Toggle Switch

The toggle switch lets you select between three distinct pedal flavors. Each position features different clipping modes or tonal profiles:

• Gate: Lowers the bias voltage in the main fuzz section, creating a gated and starry sound. Note: Changing the bias reduces the overall pedal level compared to other modes. Use the volume slider to compensate if you have plenty of gain available.
• Classic: Screaming fuzz with an iconic mid-scoop delivering a compressed and snappy tone.
• Mid+: Adds a mid boost to flatten the tone curve, resulting in a compressed yet rich and full sound.
