Since the dawn of the electric guitar era, overdrive has been one of the most essential effects for many players. Like no other effect, it puts the guitar front and center, often delivering memorable sonic experiences to the listener.
Ages is an incredibly versatile overdrive that handles any pickup-amp combination with ease. Its innovative features make it the perfect partner for stacked sounds, but it also shines as the sole drive in your setup, delivering a unique, unforgettable tone.
The five-way rotary switch offers the following settings:
- I. Low-gain mode with symmetrical soft clipping (Silicon). Compressed, smooth sound
- II. Low-gain mode with symmetrical soft clipping (LED). Open, punchy, lively sound
- III. High-gain mode with symmetrical soft clipping (Silicon). Tighter sound with more saturation
- IV. High-gain mode with symmetrical LED soft clipping. Saturated, punchy, and big
- V. High-gain mode with symmetrical hard clipping (Silicon). Fat, compressed sound
Each position delivers a distinct base tone. Thanks to the dry control, an endless variety of tonal options is available to add the perfect flavor for your personal taste.
Like all Walrus Audio pedals, the Ages features unique artwork. The "olive green" enclosure is adorned with a mystically styled war elephant with octopus-like legs.
