Maestro developed the world’s first fuzz pedal — the Maestro Fuzz-Tone FZ-1. Introduced in 1962, the Fuzz-Tone became the sound of rock'n'roll and, after the success of the Rolling Stones' 1965 hit "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction", in which its innovative sound played a key role, it became an indispensable accessory for guitarists everywhere.

This purely analog pedal features a mode toggle switch that delivers two pedals in one, expanding tonal versatility with an FZ-1–inspired fuzz sound and a thicker, more modern fuzz tone.

Its 3-knob layout offers intuitive control. The Attack knob controls the intensity of the fuzz. The Tone knob lets you shape the sound from bright and gritty to warm and plush and everything in between. The Level knob sets the output volume and can push far beyond unity gain if desired. The True Bypass footswitch triggers the LEDs in the signal horns within the Maestro logo when engaged, so you always know when the effect is active.
