The Hammertone Breakup Drive could become your new favorite pedal. Its JFET-based overdrive perfectly reproduces the dynamic response of hot tubes right before saturation.

There are two clipping modes that let you cover everything from subtle breakup to a full-bodied medium-gain overdrive. In both modes the effect's intensity adapts to your playing: the softer you play, the cleaner the tone. When you play harder, the effect becomes more pronounced. Extensive tone control and a switchable pre-gain mid booster give you plenty of freedom to shape frequencies for fine-tuning. JFET-Based Circuit

The drive circuit is based on JFET transistors. They can authentically emulate the tonal behavior of tubes.

Dynamic Saturation

Just like tubes right before breakup, the clipping stages react dynamically to your attack: the harder you play, the stronger the saturation.

Switchable Clipping Levels

The two clipping levels define the amount of saturation: heavily driven up to breakup, or medium-gain overdrive with a present harmonic spectrum.

Switch for Stronger Mids

Flip it up and the mids are boosted by 9 dB before the overdrive kicks in. Ideal when you're playing classic tones with chunky heavy overdrive and want them to sit cleanly in the mix.

Soft-Touch Switch for Bypass

The True Bypass circuit ensures your signal stays clear and dry when the pedal is off.

18V for More Headroom

The power supply is selectable between 9V and 18V. Tip: using an 18-volt adapter gives you about 6 dB more headroom than running on battery power.
