The Heatseeker Delivers The Explosive Sound Of Rock!

Since its invention in the mid-70s, the Schaffer-Vega Diversity wireless system has been the secret behind many rockstars’ guitar rigs. The magic lies in its analog preamp/tone enhancer, which expands the dynamics and overtones of every signal passing through it. This modern reissue of that hidden gem provides plenty of percussive attack to spice up your sound.

The preamp not only boosts the signal but also tightens the low frequencies and slightly emphasizes the mids, while the Dynamic Expansion circuit enhances the signal’s dynamics and overtones, giving it punch and attack to cut through the mix. Instead of a fixed setting for the Dynamic Expansion circuit as found in the original unit, this version is redesigned with the Enhance control on the Heatseeker to give you more control over the guitar sound’s dynamic response. A setting around 10 o’clock is a great starting point to add a bit more brilliance. Turning the knob to maximum revives even the dullest and most lifeless tones.

Featuring a fully analog JFET circuit powered by an internal 27-volt voltage booster (DO NOT connect to a power supply over 9 V DC), the tone and feel of three British tube amps that define rock ’n’ roll sound have been captured, offering excellent dynamics from clean to aggressive. An intelligent circuit follows the signal path and gain stages tailored for each amp model, combining them with a 3-band EQ and a power amp simulation circuit for thunderous rock tones. Additionally, the Presence control range has been expanded compared to the original, allowing you to tailor the pedal to any amp or setup.

The "WoS" (Wall of Sound) circuit opens up the soundstage by increasing output power and adding thunderous bass and dense upper mids. Imagine standing in front of a wall of tube amps and 4x12 speaker cabinets, grabbing your guitar, and playing a chord. You’ll be overwhelmed by the MASSIVE sound projection!

As with all Crazy Tube Circuits dual-drive pedals, you can connect your favorite pedals via a passive effects loop between the two sections—or use them as completely separate effects to build your ideal rig.
