This Is the Classic Rock Sound!
Here’s BOSS’s tribute to the mighty tone of the amplifier stacks that defined '60s and '70s rock! Without question, the sound of those early tube heads driving 4x12 cabinets shaped the sound of rock forever — that tone is immortalized on countless records from the '60s and '70s and became a universal standard.
Now BOSS has captured that classic tone in a stompbox: every guitarist can enjoy this iconic sound with a clean amp — whether it’s a practice amp, combo or stack.
Rough, mighty, with the characteristic power-amp distortion, punchy and cutting — it simply sounds "loud" and fierce at any volume! With a Strat-like guitar (and the SOUND knob between "Crunch" and "Drive") it delivers the Hendrix-style, '60s rock vibe; with a humbucker-equipped guitar (and the SOUND knob on "Drive") you get that quintessential '70s rock sound à la AC/DC from this pedal!
With the SOUND knob cranked all the way to the right ("Ultra"), BOSS engineers dialed in even more gain than was possible back then — for players who can’t get enough!
