Waza Craft Special Edition!
The SD-1W Super Overdrive, passionately developed by the BOSS chief engineers in Japan, is a premium stompbox for fans of exclusive "Custom Tones". The BOSS overdrive takes the classic SUPER OVERDRIVE sound to a whole new level. With purely analog circuitry, BOSS now gives analog enthusiasts the opportunity to perfect their own sound. In "Standard Mode" the pedal behaves like the classic BOSS SD-1 Super Overdrive, and in "Custom Mode" it delivers even more "range" and "gain".
Waza Craft: The Art of Superior Tone
Since the very beginning of effects pedal development, BOSS engineers have personally committed to using the best available technology of each era to craft the best possible guitar tone. Whether that meant analog circuits or modern DSP technology ultimately didn't matter.
With great enthusiasm BOSS presents the new WAZA-CRAFT series. "WAZA" is a Japanese symbol for handcrafted art and technology at the highest level. BOSS pedals bearing the "WAZA" mark open up new possibilities and a wide range of guitar effects thanks to their carefully selected analog components.

I put my OverDrive in front of the DS-1 distortion pedal - a good combination. Fat, rocky sound.
I am very satisfied and can recommend it with a clear conscience.
