Versatile Analog Tone Shaping

The BP-1W is one of the most flexible booster pedals ever, combining three unique modes in a single compact pedal. In addition to the CE and RE vintage modes, the third mode offers a crystal-clear clean boost—perfect for anyone needing more volume without coloring the tone. The gain control lets you dial in various saturation and drive sounds unique to each mode. The level control sets the balance between effect and bypass sound or drives the inputs of pedals and amps downstream to further refine your tone.

Choose Your Tone

CE – This mode reproduces the CE-1 preamp sound with its bright, bell-like character and tight bass. Use the gain control to adjust your tone from mild to aggressive.

RE – This mode recreates the unique tonal character and response of the RE-201 preamp circuit. Even at low gain settings, it adds fullness and warmth to signals. The more you turn up the gain, the stronger the saturation becomes, producing powerful drive sounds with strong analog compression—perfectly suited for subsequent pedal or amp use with its vintage coloration.

NAT – Delivers a punchy, natural sound with minimal tonal coloration. The modern Waza Craft analog circuit offers a wide boost range and works in any clean boost setup.

Two Premium Buffers

The BP-1W features a high-quality buffer circuit with two selectable types. Using the switch on the back, you can choose between the neutral signal of a standard buffer and a vintage buffer with lower input impedance. The vintage type produces a warm sound with soft dynamic response—ideal for directly connecting a guitar with passive pickups to the BP-1W input. The standard buffer is always active when the pedal is bypassed, regardless of the rear buffer switch position.
